Celebration of I i-UNAT research meeting

Last Thursdayday 17^th March, we celebrated the I Research meeting of i-UNAT at the Degree Hall of the Faculty of Sea Science.

The aim of this meeting was share with the Institute’s members the current topics in which the researchers are working, as the research projects, of the research groups that forms i-UNAT. Besides, it was tried to form new collaborations and synergies in the Institute that distinguish and increase its research competitiveness.

During the meeting, researcher representatives from each division explained their lines of research, their equipment and their projects and publications.

At the end of the exhibition, it was solved some questions related to the topic, from which it could appear new researcher ideas and synergies between the different groups.

In the act, the director of the Institute, Dr. José Juan Santana Rodríguez, wated to express his gratitude publicly to Dr. Francisco José Pérez Torrado for his participation of at the Scientific Committee of PEVOLCA during the volcanic eruption on La Palma. In the same way, he wanted to thank GEOVOL, their work during the eruption.

The meeting had huge reception between the Institute’s members, about 30 people were in the act. All of them agreed on the celebration of this meeting annually.

From here the direction wants to give thanks for the reception of the meeting and the implication, that has exceeded the expectations.
