II International Ecoislas Forum - Mª del Pino Palacios Díaz
Professor Mª del Pino Palacios Díaz, Researcher at the University Institute of Environmental Studies and Natural Resources (i-UNAT), of the Geovol group, participated on Friday 31 January in the parallel sessions on ‘Water efficiency and reuse as part of adaptation policies’ as part of the II International Ecoislas Forum, promoted and financed by the Cabildo de Gran Canaria. This session was also attended by Mr. Carmelo Santana, Manager of the Consejo Insular de Aguas de Gran Canaria, Mr. Gilberto Martel, Technician of the Instituto Tecnológico de Canarias and Mr. Antonio Díaz, Manager of Ayagaures Medio Ambiente.
During this session he had the opportunity to talk about the research work in the sector of the reuse of reclaimed water being developed by the Geovol group, aimed at demonstrating the ability to adapt to climate change through the reuse of treated wastewater, efficient irrigation and the prevention and reduction of pollution, which help to overcome existing regulatory, social, economic or technological barriers.
