Last week, from 14th to 16th March, Dr. Rayco Guedes Alonso, from AQMA, participated at the 2nd European Sample Preparation e-Conference.
The Conference, that is a specialized forum on sample preparation, is organized by the Group of study of Sample Preparation from the European Chemical Society, Dr. Guedes-Alonso is member of this group. In that Congress it was presented the last researchs in the field of sample preparation and Green Analytical Chemistry (EuSP2022 | GSAC2022 e-conferences - SamplePrepTaskForce-Net (tuc.gr)).
From the Environmental Chemical Analysis Group it was presented, through Dr. Rayco, the oral communication titled: "Optimization of Microwave-Assisted Extraction and Ultra-High-Performance Liquid Chromatography tandem Mass Spectrometry (MAE-UHPLC-MS/MS) for the Analysis of Steroid Hormones in Wastewater Treatment Solid Samples". The authors of that communication are Rayco Guedes-Alonso, Joel Domínguez-Pérez (Final Degree Work Student from EIIC), Zoraida Sosa-Ferrera and José Juan Santana-Rodríguez. In this research it has been developed a methodology based on microwave for the extraction of hormonal wastes that are in solid samples of Wastewater Treatment Systems. This research is in the research project HORPLANAT, being Rayco Guedes Alonso the principal researcher (www.horplanat.ulpgc.es).
